2004 Parents' Weekend at DKE

Annually, the brothers of the Chapter host their parents for a gala weekend celebration. We alumni support this great event and tradition, and host a special reception to honor the great work of our men and alumni to enhance and grow the Chapter. Details of this year's events and photographs are featured below.

April 24

The reception was hosted at the Chapter Lodge at 13 South Avenue at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 24th. All alumni were invited, and the event featured the cuisine of brother Ari Sobel '99, now the executive chef of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. And, of course, the great wines of brother Gene Pierce '67's Glenora Winery in Dundee. Members of the Board were on hand, and special awards were presented.

April 25

On the afternoon of April 25th, the Cornell Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs hosted their annual Fraternity and Sorority Awards at the Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room. These awards are given for a variety of good works by the men and women of Cornell's Greek community, but only one, the Best Chapter Award, is presented for empirical excellence. For the past four years, DKE won this award, and our men took home the award and its stipend for an unprecedented fifth year.
